Quantum Zeitgeist covers new Axiad research on the gap between enterprise confidence and real PQC preparation. In a survey of 315 U.S. security and IT leaders, 75% report a continuously updated cryptographic inventory, yet 46% cannot name anyone leading their post-quantum cryptography migration, and 51% have never formally tested public-facing infrastructure for post-quantum key exchange.
The coverage also highlights the seniority split in the data: 90% of CISOs and CIOs report a current inventory, compared with 33% of security architects and PKI engineers who manage those assets day to day. Axiad CEO David Canellos is quoted: “PQC readiness cannot be based on what an organization believes it has under control. It has to be based on what it can actually see, verify, and act on.”
